Chef Chris Casson
"Growing up on an Illinois farm as the youngest of eight children, I never dreamed I would one day be a chef…yet looking back, my constant exposure to the process of growing food, animals, and family meals served as an excellent foundation for what followed."
Casson grew up influenced by his father and mother – farmer and artist. Food was the epicenter of life, a source of livelihood, health, wellness and expression. From the gardens to the fields and local livestock, farm fresh quality was a way of life. Casson combined his father’s love for growing food with his mother’s love for art to become a passionate chef.
Casson went on to graduate in the top five percent of his American Culinary Federation class. It was here that he combined his passion for wholesome ingredients with the classical training he needed to progress to top-rated Colorado restaurants like The Flagstaff House, Restaurant Kevin Taylor and the historic Brown Palace Hotel. Along the way, he enjoyed the opportunity to entertain such famous folk as Billy Graham, Bruce Springsteen, Ellen DeGeneres, Mayor of Jerusalem, and both President Bushes.
"Food inspires me every day. The primary focus, when developing menus for our clients, is clean wholesome ingredients. We are one of the most flexible caterers in Denver, and can craft the menu around specific diets, allergies and preferences."
Casson is passionate about food, health, family and travel. Although much of Casson's experience has been in Fine Dining establishments, his travels to Spain, France, North Africa, Fiji, Central America and extensive studies in Mexico, have honed his ability to utilize unique ingredients and styles to entertain the most well-versed in the culinary industry. His experience as a personal trainer and dedication to health reinforces his commitment to creating nourishing food made with only the freshest ingredients available.
